Description

The letter should be recent (less than 30 days old) and helps certify you're employed where you say you work.

Tip

Make sure the letter is written on your company's letterhead and contains the following information: 1) Start date 2) Position within the company 3) How you are paid 4) How much you are paid 5) Contact information for your employer 6) If you are full-time permanent or contract 7) Indicate if you are on probation, maternal/paternal leave, disability, workers compensation and include your return to work date if applicable.

This letter should come from your employer. Contact your supervisor or HR department.
